OSSIPEE — Documents recently obtained by The Conway Daily Sun show Ossipee selectmen gave Police Chief Donald Babbin a final opportunity to keep his job after state investigators sustained misconduct findings against him, only to fire him about three months later for what the board described as time-record discrepancies and a lack of accountability regarding a subordinate officer.

Babbin, who had served as chief since February 2023, was terminated by the board of selectmen on April 20 following a non-public session.

He’s been investigated so many times for so many “discrepancies”. How is he still able to keep certified. Why is he still sharing our oxygen. Let this be the final nail. Far too much of a hot head to be on the streets and in the line of police work. That work is for honorable men and women. Not for those that want to abuse the privilege of being a Leo. I’m a victim of this A$$ hat for trying to rightfully collect money from a customer.
