MADISON — The town's administrative assistant and land use administrator, Kate Young, resigned at Tuesday's selectmen’s meeting, citing increased workload, lack of additional compensation and what she described as micromanagement by the board’s chair.

Her departure follows a series of recent resignations at Town Hall, including Town Administrator Linda Shackford, who stepped down effective Feb. 12 after more than a decade in the role, and her husband, former Department of Public Works Director Josh Shackford.
