The Bartlett Public Library and the Josiah Bartlett Elementary School Library are co-hosting a story hour for children ages 5 years and younger at 12:30 p.m. at the library. The Gibson Center Thrift Shop, located at 14 Grove Street near Main, North Conway, is open 10-ish a.m.-2-ish p.m.

Clothing Depot. The Vaughan Community Service's clothing depot at 2031 White Mountain Highway, North Conway, is open 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.

Christ Episcopal Church Thrift Shop. The thrift shop at Christ Episcopal Church, Pine and Main streets, North Conway is open 10 a.m.-2 p.m.

ReTails Resale Shop To Benefit Animals At Conway Shelter. ReTails Boutique features upscale clothing and accessories and is located in Norcross Place across from the Courtyard Cafe. ReTails is open 10 a.m.-3 p.m.

MWVArts Friday Painters. The Mount Washington Valley Arts Association presents MWVArts Friday Painters 9 a.m.-noon at various locations throughout the Mount Washington Valley. Artists of all abilities and mediums are welcome to this free event. Please bring your own supplies. Alcoholics Anonymous in Chocorua. Alcoholics Anonymous meets noon-1 p.m. at the Chocorua Community Church, Route 113 East near Route 16.

Al-Anon. The Friday Night Serenity Group of Al-Anon meets 8-9 p.m. at the Gibson Center for Senior Services in North Conway.

Conway Peer Support Groups. Conway Peer Support Groups offers the following: Food for thought which involves meal planning at 2:30 p.m. and Membership Meeting at 4:15 p.m. A potluck dinner and social activity is held on Fridays.
