3-2-13-patricia-ann-donahue-terryPatricia Ann (Donahue) TerryPatricia Ann (Donahue) Terry, of Bartlett, 81, died peacefully, in the company of her children, on Tuesday, Feb. 26, 2013 from complications with pneumonia, at St. Joseph's hospital in Nashua.

Born on Jan. 6, 1932 to parents who had emigrated from Ireland, Margaret and Patrick Donahue, of Boston, Pat entered what would become a family of six children with brothers Jack and Bob, and sisters Mary, Margaret, and Ann Marie.

While growing up, Pat attended St. Thomas Aquinas school in Boston, earning her high school degree and preparing her for work as an administrative assistant after school.

During the summers of her teenage years, Pat and the Donahue family would enjoy their Barker Road cottage in Scituate, Mass. This home was the setting where she met and fell in love with James Terry, of Weymouth, Mass., her husband of 57 years.

Pat and Jim were married on Sept. 13, 1953. They started their family on Bittersweet Lane in Scituate, where they welcomed children Colleen, Jim, George, Michael, and Dan. Pat was a constant source of love and support for her family — sewing last minute adjustments to Halloween costumes or entertaining her husband's colleagues and friends from Ford Motor Company.

Pat continued her devotion to her family as they moved to new towns and neighborhoods, helping her husband and children adjust seamlessly with her positive spirit and unconditional love.

Pat endured the loss of her oldest child, Colleen, who died at the age of 15. She held true to her love of family and her faith, and continued to be a source of strength. Her daughter, Margaret, was born 2 years later, and Pat and her family enjoyed the wonders of welcoming a new baby.

In Pat's later years, Bartlett became her home, and she found great happiness living in the White Mountains of Mount Washington Valley. She enjoyed skiing into her 70s with her husband and friends, and especially enjoyed when her children and grandchildren joined her on the slopes and then around the family dinner table for memorable meals and celebrations.

Pat will be deeply missed by her children Jim, George, Michael, Dan, and Margaret; her 12 grandchildren; her brother, Jack Donahue, of Newton, Mass., sisters, Mary Matheson, of Bourne, Mass., Margaret Craig, of Hingham, Mass., and Ann Marie Donahue, of Bridgton, Maine. Pat was predeceased by her husband Jim in 2011, her brother, Bob Donahue, and daughter, Colleen Marie Terry.

Visiting hours will be Sunday, March 3, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Furber and White Funeral Home at 2925 White Mountain Highway in North Conway.

A funeral service will be held Monday, March 4, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Mountains Church in North Conway.

In lieu of flowers, gifts may be made in Pat's remembrance to the March of Dimes charity (www.marchofdimes.com).
